Alan Pither Ltd is an approved assessment centre for the ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment.
For candidates with some experience of surveying buildings, we offer a 3 day training course with an exam on a fourth day about a month after the course.
This Certificate is the qualification required for anyone wanting to issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) on existing domestic buildings. The course is suitable for those with some experience of surveying, maintaining or refurbishing existing dwellings. Additional training can be arranged for those with less experience.
In addition to passing the examination, candidates also need to prepare a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence, including a minimum of 5 energy surveys covering a range of dwelling types.
Open access courses are run in various locations around the West Midlands and Wales. In-house courses can be arranged elsewhere if an organisation has training facilities available.
