Domestic Energy Assessor

Alan Pither Ltd is an approved assessment centre for the ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment.

This Certificate is the qualification required for anyone wanting to issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) on existing domestic buildings. The course is suitable for those with some experience of surveying, maintaining or refurbishing existing dwellings. Additional training can be arranged for those with less experience.

To obtain the Certificate, candidates need to prepare a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence, including a minimum of 5 energy surveys covering a range of dwelling types.

For candidates with some experience of surveying buildings, we offer a 3 day training course, plus an assessment day about a month after the course. Open access courses are run at our base in Craven Arms. In-house courses can be arranged elsewhere if an organisation has training facilities available. For individual learners we can arrange a flexible, bespoke course with on-line tutorials.
